Congratulations to Leilab alumna Anvi on being recognized as one of the UAH “Graduates of the Last Decade” Honorees at the 2026 Sapphire Excellence Awards. We are proud to see our alumni continuing to make outstanding contributions in their careers and communities.
At the 2026 Huntsville E-Week Banquet, Prof. Lei was honored with the college’s 2026 Outstanding Senior Faculty Award. Presented by Interim Dean Dr. Keith Hollingsworth, the award recognizes Prof. Lei’s contributions as a researcher, scholar, and administrator. Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement!
Dr. Yu Lei and collaborators at The University of Alabama in Huntsville are part of a newly funded $6M NSF EPSCoR collaborative project led by the University of Delaware to address the environmental challenge of PFAS (“forever chemicals”). At the recent North American Meeting (NAM29) of the Catalysis Society held in Atlanta, I had the pleasure of reconnecting with Leilab alumni Zhuoran and Muntaseer, both of whom are now doing exciting work in the field. Even more special was the opportunity to catch up with my Ph.D. advisor, Dr. Randall Meyer, who joined us for a quick photo. Moments like this remind us how far-reaching and supportive the Leilab network continues to be!
